HANDCRAFT

Handcraft It was the beginning of the Kyrgyz tradition to decorate their yurtas with mosaic-designed nags (shyrdak) and to use beautifully colored strips of cloth to keep the assembled parts of the yurta together. The latticed top of the yurta was usually covered with ornamented mats.
